Four annotated photos-

At first look this image shows somebody holding up a photograph that matches the scene where the photographer is currently standing. However, it also shows a journey through time that has happened where the surrounding and environment is the same but due to the colours in the photograph and the little boys clothing you can tell that it is rather old. I like this photo a lot and I think that it is a really nice way of showing the journey from the past to present time. It also is a really imaginative and unique way to photograph a change in time that would be interesting to try.

 This image portrays a path where journeys and travelling is taken place. Shows a start point and then carries on into the distance out of sight, this creates the image of journey because there is no end and the image progresses past our view. I really like this photo because the use of continuing the path/road beyond the photo tells the viewer that there is a journey as it would be moving from one place to another.

 This photograph gives a more adventurous atmosphere due to the rope bridge and foggy tree setting. When looking at this image I think of films such as 'Indiana Jones' where in which a journey takes place in the form of an adventure. I really like this image because it uses depth of field with the bridge showing it getting further away showing the journey from one place to another. I would really like to do something like this within my own work at some point.

The photographer for this image has used a suitcase placed on a path/road. This indicates a journey in different ways the road leading of into the background shows the direction and way that the person will be travelling in. The suitcase itself however is highly linked with travelling and journeys as everyone uses suitcases when taking them. I think the use of the prop in this shoot has worked really well and portrays the fact that a journey is taking place well without the use of a model of even main focus on a well known form of travel.
